This is the start of the third week of Mesocycle #2 and you will be doing Chest, Shoulders and Triceps today. Once again you should be using weights that are up to 75% of your 1 RM. This workout features a double wave load for the first time for several exercises. You may not be familiar with this method, but whenever you do a double wave load you should select a weight that is only 70% of your 1 RM for your first set. Then increase your weight by 5% for each of the next two sets. You will then repeat this pattern twice for each exercise.
This method works because your muscle fibers and motors become more highly activated during your first round. This tricks your body into recruiting more muscle fibers than it normally would when you perform the second half of the double wave load. Don’t worry about the math—the online Workout Manager will calculate everything for you.
